Vision of Langhe
In the lanes
Two beautiful paintings of Piero Rasero
A rainy Sunday… A stroll in Cherasco and the discovery of the painter Piero Rasero
Cherasco, chest of Langhe, Napoleon’s country, with some arcade: despite the rain, my guests have enjoyed this quaint village because it is rich in history and architecture.
As we were strolling, a smart art gallery caught our attention. We agreed to visit it on our way back.
Our walk completed, we went back to the art gallery. In the grey of this rainy day, the white of walls and the colors of paintings suddenly changed our state of mind.
It’s not a coincidence that he was there:he often finds his inspiration in the Langhe. Piero Rasero, figurative and landscape painter, had a temporary exhibition (until Dec 7th). But this is not all.
In his paintings, you will recognize the sea and landscapes of Liguria, in fact, he also exhibits there.
It is in his studio, located in Carmagnola that the painter lives and works. My love for colors which I saw in his paintings immediately touched my artistic soul. I enjoyed his work so much that I thought it would be worth to write about him.
He was very friendly and helpful, after a mysterious transaction in the back of the gallery, my guests bought two beautiful lithographies of the Maestro with a beautiful thought as a kind of twinning. Two gorgeous autumn landscapes of Langhe will be exhibited in two different houses, one in Italy and one in France.
But let’s come back to the « maestro », I enjoy his style because there’s a lot of light in the way he uses colors. Needless to say I spotted my favorite paintings: Vision of Langhe, Watching the sea from Verezzi, Patio on the sea, Brooms at the blue bay, In the Portofino’s lane.
Piero Rasero is member of academia and has received numerous rewards: his works are parts of various private collections, in Europe (from Norway to Spain, from Finland to Germany), outside Europe (from Australia to Canada, from South of Africa and United States to Venezuela) and are presented at the Sharjah art museum in the United Arab Emirates, he was invited by the museum director Hisam al Madhloum, at Americas museum of Miami, USA, and at international art museum, Venado Tuerto, Santa Fe (Argentina).
In addition, many daily newspapers and periodical have talked about him, among which: La Nazione, il Tirreno, il Messaggero, Paese Sera, il Secolo XIX, l’Unità, il Giornale di Brescia, Brescia Oggi, Bari, Sport.
Articles about him have also been published in international newspapers: les Pays Gessien, Nice-Matin, Evening Echo, La Provence, Irish Indipendent, Voir Montréal, Miami Herald, Mirror Quebecor.
I really encourage you, to visit one of his numerous galleries because it’s the most satisfying to see beautiful paintings full of colors and at the same time, calming, then maybe to buy one of most of these paintings.
If you are very curious, you can visit his website and you will find many information about him and to have a overview of his works.
